e-Estonia Conference 2008 "e-State New Horizons?"

Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, in cooperation with the e-Governance Academy of Estonia, is organising the conference "e-Government - New Horizons?". Conference will be held in Sokos Hotel Viru, on January 22nd.


About conference

e-Estonia conference − "Information society for everybody" was first held in January, 2007. This year it will concentrate on the future of information society and predict the future of e-Government from the different point of view − what will happen in ten years (in 2018).

Secretary General of ITU (International Telecommunication Union), Dr. Hamadoun Tour is going to give a presentation "Connected world in 2018" during the first session of the conference. First session will be moderated by the Minister of Economic Affairs and Comminications, Mr. Juhan Parts. To the conference are invited enterpreneurs, professors, directors, politicians etc. to make their vision about the future and to create a live discussion with the audience. 

Conference will be held in Estonian with translation service to English.
