Investment Projects of the Latvian State Information Network Agency

The Latvian State Information Network Agency known by its Latvian acronym VITA is presently engaged in development and maintenance of the country's State Significance Data Transmission Network. All government institutions, which desire to be hooked up to the system will, it is expected, be able to obtain such connections before the end of this year. In this article the author looks at some of the agency's investment projects, the aim of which is both to create new services and to improve the quality of the existing ones.
